I found this artist when i went on a trip to Southbank with my college. His work is currently being displayed at Bankside Gallery in London. I took notice to his prints because they are simple yet work really well. Frank took a photograph of the scenery what he wanted to create into a print and then took it back to his studio where he drew the photograph using a black ink pen. It then looks like he has photocopied the print onto the computer and then used illustrator to give the block colour what works really well. Frank Kiely graduated from The Royal College of Art in 2002.

I found this artist while i was researching about the the Festival of Britain he is a poster artist that mostly does propaganda posters. During the second world war Games worked as a war artist designing propaganda posters. games said that he got most of his inspiration from traveling on a double decker bus traveling around London because he said he was able to look at posters through the eye of someone who was just traveling around the city.

Abram Games designed this poster for the Festival of Britain in 1951.

This poster was designed for ATS recruitment during the Second World War.

This poster was designed for the London underground.

My favourite illustrator is Quentin Blake who is most famous for illustrating the Roald Dahl books. I really like his illustrations because they are part of my childhood and are really iconic around the world. I think that his illustrations are simple using a black pen and watercolour. I also like the way that he does not go by the lines of his work with the painting either going inside the drawing or going outside what makes his work so recognisable and distinct. The faces of his work is also really simple justing using two dots for the eyes and one stroke of the pen for the mouth.

I really like this poster for lego. This poster shows what by putting two pieces of lego together you can imagine that it is a plane. by doing this it shows that lego can open up your imagination.

This advertisement is for a fold up bike. This advertisement is simple yet effective. They show that the fold up bike is like folding up paper easy.

Maglite posters

I think that these posters are funny and clever. These posters are for a torch company called maglite. I think that these are clever because they have connected aliens with supposedly living and the dark and the flashlight is so bright that they cant look directly into it.

I think that these posters are fun yet effective. The advertisement company have just got a simple photograph of a product that connects with a baby then used their logo and compared the prices. By doing this they have shown that a pack of condoms would be cheaper than having a baby what would sell the product.

I found this guy while i was scrolling through a newspaper site. He took different types of drugs and whilst he was on the these drugs he drew a self portrait with each drug affecting the outcome. I think that it is interesting how the drug affected his portrait. His work kind of reminds me of the psychedelic art during the 60's. Bryan Lewis now only takes prescription drugs because the other drugs have affected his brain. Bryan does a self portrait everyday and not one of them is the same. He started doing self portraits in 1995.
